An Outing In Thunder Bay- "The Seattle Coffee House" January 21, 2003

During my work trip to Thunder Bay, I had another pleasant evening out with Theadora. On Tuesday, January 21, 2003, I "got pretty" and went and picked up Theadora at her place. I wore a mini, a sweater and my boots. Now keep in mind, last night, it was -29 C but I don't care. When Theadora said how cold it was and that she was wearing pants, I kept telling her, "It's only cold from here to there", referring to from the building to the car!

So after picking her up we headed for the Vallhalla Inn, which is a very upscale hotel, with a nice quite lounge and fireplace, which she thought would be quiet enough on an Tuesday night! We got there and walked right in to find the place was packed. Some kind of convention was happening at the hotel. So she suggested we try another place, against my suggestion that we stay and try and pick up a millionaire*S*!

We got to another place which we found was way too busy for her. I could tell she wanted to go somewhere so bad, and I reassured her that I was patient and that she didn't have to go anywhere just to please me, wherever she was comfortable was OK with me. She though of a place called Seattle Coffee House, on Arthur St., so off we went. One the way, we stopped on Simpson St., got out and stood on the sidewalk looking at dresses and gowns in a shop window. Me in my mini and her in her pants. I loved it!*S*

We got to the coffee house, which is open to midnight and walked right on in. Theadora bought a coffee for herself and a cider for me. The place was very cozy, with tables and chairs, as well as a sitting area with comfy chairs and couches near the fire place. Other patrons were sitting at tables, others were sitting alone in a comfy chair reading a book, by the fire place. A very nice place. It was a very comfortable experience for me, and also for Theadora.

We left about midnight, and there I was, me and my mini standing up beside a table full of guys to put on my coat! Then walking to the door with my heels clicking load and proud! I could tell Theadora was happy to get out because she kept thinking of other places to go next time out!!!!

I will admit, it was me reading all the stories on-line about the fun other girls were having out in the real world that gave me the push to get out. Sort of like others have lead the way by example. One the way back to Theadora's place, I pulled into a Seven Eleven to get some snack food to take back to my room. She watched in amazement as I walked right into the store, picked out what I wanted paid for it and left. She saw how the clerk never gave me a second look as I walked away! In some ways I think I do things like this when I am with someone to in a way show them that "YES! The real world does accept us!" See, a crossdresser can go to Tim Hortons, can go to Mike's Mart, can go to the Vallhalla, can go to the Seattle Coffee House, can go to Seven Eleven. I can't wait till my next trip for more adventures.

Thanks for reading my story,

Sabrina
