Introducing Sabrina to "My Ex-wife"!
On Monday, March 25, 2002, Shandi, Vanessa, Ardra and I went to see the movie Sorority Boys. My daughter and Shandi's wife joined us, as well as Vanessa's cousin, and her cousin's boyfriend. I wore my red mini, beige hose, a black body suit and boots. On the Sunday before, when with my daughter, in Dad-mode, we told her mom, my ex, we wanted to go top the late show to see Sorority Boys on Monday, and her mom said that was OK,. Then I told her about a few friends who were going to dress as girls and go to the movie. Her only comment was "I'm sure you will make a pretty girl" :-) I wasn't sure how to take that, but it wasn't negative, so - so far so good*S*
When I picked my daughter up at about 8:15, we decided to introduce Sabrina to her mom, so we drove to the grocery store where she is a cashier! My daughter waited in the van watching the cash counter, while I walked into the store and walked casually about. My Ex didn't seem to notice, however, when I walked right up to her cash counter, she figured it out then. She was really cool with it and said I looked very pretty*S* At that time, our daughter walked in and joined us. My Ex had a few minutes, so we walked about the store and looked at chocolate bunnies:-) After a while, she turned and watched me walk a few steps in the high heels and said "looks like you've been practicing". I smiled.*S*. Our daughter went off to another part of the store and my Ex and I walked to the front where is was quieter. She said "I take it this isn't the first time you've done this?" I said no, it isn't, and said it has been a regular thing this past while, and I told her about the group "Masquerade". She seemed really cool saying she could tell because I did it so well. She then proceeded to tell me all I needed to do was use a lighter, browner, eye brow pencil, or get a darker wig! I think the pencil would be cheaper<LOL> My Ex seemed sincere when she told me she was very happy I was enjoying having fun doing this and seemed very supportive of it too. And while I was in the store, even in my mini and boots, I didn't feel any stares coming my way from any of the customers either*S*.
As we were leaving, my Ex good bye, then said "Hey, I don't know who I'm saying bye too", so our daughter told her my name was Sabrina:-) GOD that whole event was so cool! Imagine, me, dressed as I was, being very happy with myself, and being with my daughter and ex-wife, all having a good time! After we left, my daughter said "Maybe Sabrina could join me and mom for lunch one day!" Is that acceptance or what??
Thanks for reading my story,
Sabrina
