Out & About - Going to see "50 First Dates" with The Girls..
After Chantal and I had gone to see Connie and Carla the Girls of Masquerade wanted to plan an evening out as a group to see the show. Procrastination set in and finally at the June meeting we decided to set a date, June 15, 2004. We also decided that if Connie and Carla wasn't playing we'd still have a "Movie Night" and go see something else.
By the time Tuesday rolled around it was going to be just Riannon, Jacilynn, my daughter and myself and we were going to meet at the theatre at 9:30 PM. I had planned on wearing my new white leather skirt, but since it really wasn't '"Summery" weather I chose a black t-shirt and my red leather mini skirt.
I picked up my daughter at her place around 8:30 and we headed to the Northgate Shopping center to do a little shopping before the movie. The mall itself had closed already but Zellers was still open so we spent half an hour in there checking out the clothing and shoe departments.
With still some time before the movie we headed off to Tim Hortons for a snack. Yes, they did have a drive-thru window, but that is no fun. I just had to walk into the busy restaurant and stand in line!! Now you see, a girl in a leather mini skirt does have some privledges...like having doors opened for you!
At the theatre we met up with Jacilynn and Riannon and headed inside to buy our tickets, then stand in line to get our popcorn and drink It was such a terrific feeling, to be surrounded by the crowd and just having fun being a girl! We were the first in the theatre so we had our pick of seats, and chose the middle. After all, if you are going to watch a big screen movie, you might as well be looking at a BIG screen!!
After the movie was over we stopped outside for a few pics which I've addedd to my . Check out my Photo Album .
To think that only 4 short years ago, outings like this were only a dream. I have Suzie Petersen, my friends at TG Chat and the Girls of Masquerade to thank for helping me make those dreams my reality! *HUGS*
